This policy explains what cookies and similar local-storage technologies the escmapdevelopment.ro website uses, operated by Escmap Development SRL (Romanian VAT/tax ID "CUI" 46134361, Trade Register no. J2022001453081, registered office in Făgăraș, Brașov County, Str. 1 Decembrie 1918, Bl. 58, Sc. A, Ap. 8, postal code 505200), referred to below as "Escmap", "we".
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage — a browser storage area used to remember preferences, which unlike a classic cookie is not automatically sent to the server with every request.
2. What we actually use on this site
We audited the site's code and the list below reflects exactly what's in use today — not a generic list.
2.1 Strictly necessary / functional

These are strictly necessary for the site to function (displaying your chosen theme, and admin authentication) and don't require your prior consent under the law.
2.2 Third-party cookies — security
We use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service that helps us prevent automated (spam/bot) submissions through the site's contact forms. The Turnstile script loads on every page and may set its own cookies, managed under Cloudflare's own policy, not ours. See cloudflare.com/cookie-policy.
2.3 Analytics or marketing cookies
We currently do not use any analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) or advertising cookies (e.g. Meta Pixel) on this site. If we introduce such tools in the future, we'll update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your explicit consent before activation, through a consent banner.
3. How to control cookies and local storage
You can delete or block cookies and locally stored data from your browser settings. Note that clearing escmap-theme resets the site to its default theme; blocking the admin session cookie will prevent you from logging into the admin panel.
4. Legal basis
This policy complies with Romanian Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and privacy in the electronic communications sector (which transposes the ePrivacy Directive) and, for any personal data involved, with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
